THE PROMO JUNK YOU DON'T NEED
Freebies are those items that businesses give away to market their company. And almost everyone loves free things. Sometimes these promotional items are very handy things. But sometimes these items are things that you would throw away right after you get them.
If you won't use it, like it, or keep
it, respectfully say no.
These offers are tempting because of their value. But if you're not going to use that water bottle or flash drive, or if you have too many pens or promotional t-shirts, decline the freebie. You're not going to hurt the business by not taking what they're giving away for free. You can help them just as much by intentionally learning what their mission and values are to determine if you want to be a customer. If the freebies being offered are something you find value in, whether it be creative and unique or practical and useful, take the freebie!
Should you take the freebie?
Do you already have an abundance of similar items?
Consider if you need more than one of this
Will you actually use the item?
I will probably never use it
Say no if you won't use it
I see myself
using it often
Is the item unique/you appreciate it's creativity?
Consider if it would actually provide value to you
it is special
Or don't, it's up to you! Either way, you are now making a mindful and intentional decision
